The Shadow Child


I have a shadow comrade

Who's with me night and day;

He always helps me do my chores.

And then we run and play;

Sometimes he’s tall, sometimes he’s short,

Sometimes he’s wide or round;

But he’s quite the nicest playmate

That I have ever found.
